Frequently asked questions

Frequently translates to people emailing us 2 million times a day. JUST READ THIS OMG.
Who can attend DevFest Mumbai?

Anyone who writes code, watches code, screams at bugs, or secretly worships Claude Code Antigravity can attend if they have a ticket.

How does registration work?

Apply. We pick names randomly. You either get in or don't. Easy. Fair. Mildly terrifying. To keep DevFest fair for everyone, selection is completely random - yes, even more random than a Mumbai local train schedule. No favoritism. No bribes. Signing up first doesn't matter. Flattering us doesn't work.

Can tickets be transferred?

No. At registration, ID will be checked, and FINALLY security will have something to do other than pretending to look busy.

When will I know if I got selected?

November 30th - check your inbox, pray, and maybe do a little dance if you get lucky.

My girlfriend / boyfriend / dog / cat / friend has a ticket, can I accompany them?

While we are absolutely thrilled that you found someone (or something) to tolerate you, the ticket system is unforgiving. Every person (or exceptional pet) requires a valid ticket for entry. Wait for them outside. Nesco has good food options.

What's the food situation?

Food will be available. Whether you get it without a queue… that's your problem.

Can I attend if I came last year?

Yes. Maybe. Selection is totally random. No favoritism, no grudges, just pure probability deciding your fate.

What will I actually see at DevFest?

Talks, workshops, masterclasses, nonprofits, networking, and people pretending they understand each other. Basically… fun.

Can I survive DevFest Mumbai without losing my mind?

Maybe. Possibly. Probably. But don't worry, mild existential crises are included for free.

What if I have zero idea what's happening?

Perfect. You'll fit right in. Half the fun is pretending you know what's happening while nodding enthusiastically.

Will there be Jain food?

Yes. We wouldn't risk plunging the entire event into a chaos over a potato. Find the Jain food counter and eat in peace.

I'm being roasted / recorded - help!

Welcome to DevFest Mumbai! Everything in the main event areas is being filmed for documentation and future use (ie, blackmail). As for the roasting: it's all in good fun (mostly). If the humor gets genuinely personal or nasty, please find a volunteer or organizer, who will immediately intervene.
